Opportunities From: The Salvation Army of Orange & Osceola Counties

Volunteer: Angel Tree Joy Center - (Distribution Day is December 16th)

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children and senior adults across the country each year.

Once a child or senior has been registered and accepted as an “Angel,” their Christmas wish list is shared with caring donors in the community who purchase new clothing, toys, and gifts. These treasures are then distributed back to families to place lovingly under their own Christmas tree.

As an Angel Tree Volunteer, you become a beacon of hope and love during the holiday season. Your presence and service ripple through countless lives—bringing light to children who dream of unwrapping a special gift and to seniors who long to feel cherished and remembered.

You’re not simply helping to sort, organize, or distribute gifts; you are delivering joy, warmth, and the reassuring message that no one is forgotten. By supporting The Salvation Army’s mission to provide 5,000 Christmas gifts to children and 1,000 gifts to senior citizens in our community, you are lighting up hearts with your generosity.

Every gift you help provide is more than an item—it is a symbol of care, a moment of happiness, and a lasting memory for someone in need.

Thank you for being an Angel in Action, embodying the magic of giving and showing how love can transform lives, one gift at a time. ❤️

Volunteer: Angel Tree at The Mall at Millenia

Overview

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children and senior adults around the country each year. Once an individual has been registered and accepted as an Angel, their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in the community who purchase new clothing and toys. As an Angel Tree Volunteer at The Mall at Millenia, you will be the friendly face of The Salvation Army during one of the most joyful times of the year. Volunteers will help shoppers select Angel tags, answer questions about the program, receive and document returned gifts, and ensure the Angel Tree display remains tidy and inviting. Your presence will help spread the spirit of giving and ensure that every Angel’s wish is fulfilled.

Explain the process of selecting an Angel and how gifts are returned.

Follow all program rules and dress code guidelines (see below).

Volunteer Guidelines

Be dependable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.

Always sign in and out at the beginning and end of your shift.

Maintain a friendly attitude—smile and engage positively with the public.

Never use obscene or inappropriate language.

Professional attire or “Sunday best” is required.

No sweat clothes, torn jeans, graphic shirts, or casual athletic wear.
