Volunteer: Angel Tree Joy Center - (Distribution Day is December 16th)

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children and senior adults across the country each year.

Once a child or senior has been registered and accepted as an “Angel,” their Christmas wish list is shared with caring donors in the community who purchase new clothing, toys, and gifts. These treasures are then distributed back to families to place lovingly under their own Christmas tree.

As an Angel Tree Volunteer, you become a beacon of hope and love during the holiday season. Your presence and service ripple through countless lives—bringing light to children who dream of unwrapping a special gift and to seniors who long to feel cherished and remembered.

You’re not simply helping to sort, organize, or distribute gifts; you are delivering joy, warmth, and the reassuring message that no one is forgotten. By supporting The Salvation Army’s mission to provide 5,000 Christmas gifts to children and 1,000 gifts to senior citizens in our community, you are lighting up hearts with your generosity.

Every gift you help provide is more than an item—it is a symbol of care, a moment of happiness, and a lasting memory for someone in need.

Thank you for being an Angel in Action, embodying the magic of giving and showing how love can transform lives, one gift at a time. ❤️

Volunteer: Orlando Solar Bears Annual Teddy Bear Toss

On the day of the game, Volunteers will arrive at Kia Center at 5:30pm. We will wait downstairs near the ice. When the Solar Bears score their first goal, fans will throw stuffed animals onto the ice. Volunteers will be needed to help collect all the stuffed animals and get them off the ice as quickly as possible to resume the game.

Once collected we will bag the bears and divide them among the organizations who are volunteering and load them into the box truck. Volunteers will then be invited to enjoy the remainder of the game from the stands.

There is a waiver that is required to fill out for each individual. So, if you sign up as a Team, please know you'll need to have every member fill out their own waiver.

Overview

Every year, The Salvation Army's Eric and Diane Holm Thanksgiving opens its doors and hearts to serve thousands of neighbors in need.
